Job summary

Alignerr seeks a Portuguese Language Expert to review AI-generated translations and source content for accuracy and naturalness. You will identify mistranslations, cultural issues, and suggest idiomatic improvements for Brazilian and European Portuguese. This remote, hourly contract offers flexible scheduling and global collaboration.

Native Portuguese with strong English writing, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate quality at scale are essential. Prior AI experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Portuguese.
• Strong written communication in Portuguese and English.
• Deep understanding of Brazilian and/or European Portuguese usage and cultural norms.
• Comfortable evaluating written language quality at scale.
• Attention to detail and consistency.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated Portuguese translations and original content for accuracy and naturalness.
• Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, register mismatches, or cultural issues.
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate Portuguese.
• Evaluate content for regional fit across Brazilian and/or European Portuguese norms.
• Provide structured feedback on linguistic and localization quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
