Job summary

CloudLinux Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer for the PaaS team to own platform services, keep them reliable, and automate operations.

You will split time between platform engineering, incident response, and helping engineers across teams use what we run. You will run the observability platform and the GitLab CI runner fleet, deploy new services, write runbooks, and collaborate with product teams to define scope and priorities.

Qualifications

• Senior-level infrastructure or SRE experience with at least one production service.
• Linux admin and debugging on bare metal and virtual machines.
• Kubernetes in production via GitOps and cluster upgrades.
• Infrastructure as code: Ansible and Terraform or OpenTofu.
• GitLab administration in production, with other CI experience welcomed.
• Prometheus and Grafana experience with alerting and dashboards.
• Clear technical writing for engineers outside your team.
• Strong communication and collaboration with product teams.
• Experience with AI-assisted automation is a plus.
• English: upper-intermediate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Run the observability platform and monitor cost/capacity.
• Run GitLab and CI runner fleet.
• Keep services healthy with monitoring and runbooks.
• Deploy new services when requested with code, monitoring, backups.
• Collaborate on developer requests and turn recurring tasks into self-service.
• Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analyses and preventions.
• Write runbooks and onboarding guides for other engineers.
• Work with AI agents and review automated outputs.
