Job summary

Promptly Health seeks a Junior Legal Counsel to support privacy, tech and compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This remote‑first role collaborates with engineering, data science, clinical, security, product and commercial teams, reporting to the Legal Lead.

You will handle data protection, contracts, information security, IP, and regulatory matters with increasing responsibility. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, contributing to internal policies, tender responses, and vendor

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law.
• 3+ years of relevant post‑qualification experience in a reputable law firm and/or an in‑house legal department.
• Based in Porto, or able to reach our Porto office at short notice.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Proficiency with AI tools and AI‑assisted legal processes.
• Strong command of digital work tools (Slack, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Notion, e‑signature platforms).

Responsibilities

• Data protection and privacy: run the day‑to‑day data protection programme and act as the point of contact for data protection matters.
• Contracts and commercial support: draft, review and negotiate contracts; support negotiations with key players.
• Information security and cybersecurity: governance of information security management system and incident response.
• Intellectual property: protect Promptly's software, data models, and brands; manage IP portfolio.
• AI, digital regulation and compliance: assist with EU AI Act readiness and governance policies; advise on regulatory touchpoints for health software.
• Disputes: pre‑litigation analysis and coordination of external counsel.
