Sysmatch is seeking an AI Privacy Engineer to own the data protection gate for AI use cases, ensuring privacy by design across AI systems and platforms. You will translate GDPR and EU AI Act requirements into actionable guidance for engineers and maintain comprehensive documentation for oversight.

The role requires 3+ years in a comparable environment, strong GDPR knowledge, and fluency in English. Remote role with Lisbon presence, salary 40k–50k EUR gross annually plus benefits.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar (or equivalent experience) with legal qualification preferred.
• 3+ years of international corporate experience.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR.
• Experience with DPIAs and international data transfers.
• Fluent English; another European language is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Own the AI data protection gate for AI use cases with decision-ready evidence.
• Translate data protection requirements into actionable guidance for AI engineers.
• Ensure data protection is embedded into system design.
• Maintain documentation: data flows, RoPAs, decisions, controls.
• Carry out privacy risk assessments (DPIA and AI risk analysis).
• Define pragmatic mitigation measures with engineering teams.
• Bridge engineering and data protection functions for compliance.
• Enable scalable governance with auditable evidence of compliance.
• Embed data protection by design across AI use cases and platform integrations.
• Coordinate handling of data subject rights requests and AI incidents.
