CEiiA / Centre Of Engineering And Product Development is seeking a Backend Developer for Real-Time Systems in Oeiras, Portugal. You will contribute to CI/CD, JVM-based development, and cloud-native solutions, with emphasis on clean architecture and scalable design.

Qualifications

• Degree or master's degree in computer science or related field
• At least 3 years of software development experience
• Proficiency in object-oriented languages (Java, Go, others)
• Experience with JVM-based frameworks
• Strong knowledge of RESTful, RPC or GraphQL APIs
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Proficient with Git
• Experience with message brokers and event streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ or NATS)
• Ability to write clean, scalable code with best practices (TDD, DDD, clean architecture)
• Ability to design and implement unit and integration tests
• Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Adaptability and collaborative working style
• Good spoken and written English
• Decision making and team management

Responsabilités

• Apply CI strategies and platforms, and automated testing tools and procedures
• Prepare and maintain development documentation
• Ensure software development complies with requirements including security, scalability, and performance
• Contribute to product design, technical architecture, and implementation per CEiiA standards
• Develop software using Java and cloud-based solutions
