• Proven experience in a QA Lead / Senior QA Engineer role.
• Experience in User Story refinement and defining structured Test Plans.
• Hands-on with Xray (Jira) for end-to-end test management.
• Strong background in testing libraries and E2E frameworks (Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, Jest).
• Experience executing integration testing across complex web apps and microservices.
• Expertise configuring SonarQube for static analysis and automated coverage reporting.
• Experience setting up test automation pipelines in Jenkins.
• Experience guiding and supporting business stakeholders through UAT.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Immediate availability to join the team.
• Hybrid model based in Aveiro, Portugal.

We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive QA Lead Engineer to drive quality strategy, governance, and automated testing for an international digital transformation project in Aveiro. In this role, you will bridge functional requirements with technical execution, implementing end-to-end testing frameworks, managing test strategies in Jira/Xray, and setting up CI/CD quality gates.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Planning & Strategy: Define overall test plans, testing strategies, and coverage goals across integration and end-to-end (E2E) layers.
• Agile Governance: Lead User Story refinement sessions alongside product teams to ensure clear acceptance criteria and early defect prevention.
• Test Management: Oversee, structure, and execute test plans using Xray for Jira.
• Automation & E2E Testing: Build and maintain robust test automation suites using tools such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, and Jest.
• Integration & Static Analysis: Deploy and configure SonarQube for automated testing coverage, quality metrics, and continuous reporting.
• CI/CD Integration: Automate testing workflows and pipelines using Jenkins.
• User Acceptance Support: Coordinate and provide direct support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases to ensure business alignment.

• Proven experience in a QA Lead / Senior QA Engineer role with strong technical autonomy.
• Solid experience in User Story refinement and defining structured Test Plans.
• Hands‑on proficiency with Xray (Jira) for end‑to‑end test management.
• Strong technical background in testing libraries and E2E frameworks (Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, Jest).
• Solid experience executing integration testing across complex web applications and microservices.
• Hands‑on expertise configuring SonarQube for static analysis and automated coverage reporting.
• Practical experience setting up test automation pipelines in Jenkins.
• Demonstrated experience guiding and supporting business stakeholders through UAT.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken);
• Immediate availability to join the team.
