Job summary

Decskill, an IT consulting company with over 10 years of consolidated experience, is growing and seeking a QA Analyst for a hybrid role based in Lisbon or Porto (2x/week).

You will coordinate testing activities, create and review test plans, test cases and scenarios, and supervise manual and automated tests with Jira and Xray. Fluency in English (minimum B2) is mandatory, and you will join a people-first culture with international opportunities and ongoing technical growth.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience as a QA Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize the test backlog, assigning tasks to the project team.
• Supervise the execution of manual and automated test cases.
• Ensure compliance with defined test strategies.
• Monitor test progress and identify bottlenecks.
• Facilitate communication between QA team members and other project areas.
• Provide guidance to QA team members.
• Identify, document, and report defects clearly in tracking tools.
• Prioritize defects according to severity and business impact.
• Track defect lifecycles and verify fixes.
• Participate in improving QA processes and testing methodologies.
• Propose and implement new tools and techniques to optimize testing activities.
• Contribute to the QA knowledge base.

We would like to meet a QA Analyst for a project with a hybrid working model based in Lisbon or Porto (2x/week).

Requirements

• 3 - 6 years of experience as a QA Analyst.
• Solid experience in coordinating testing activities.
• Profound knowledge in different types of software testing (functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, performance, security, etc.).
• Experience in creating and reviewing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Xray).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Some experience in test automation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in English - minimum B2 level (mandatory).
