act digital in Porto is seeking a motivated Python developer (0–3 years) to join a quantitative risk and finance team. You will build Python 3 components, write SQL queries, and use Linux command-line tools while collaborating with peers to improve code quality.

You will participate in CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Bitbucket, and SonarQube, and progressively develop autonomy in a finance-focused environment. A degree in CS, math, or a quantitative field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, Math or another quantitative field.
• Up to 3 years of Python development experience.
• Solid Python 3 knowledge demonstrated in projects.
• Basic SQL knowledge for queries and data manipulation.
• Basic Linux command-line experience.
• Foundational software engineering and Git basics.
• Willingness to learn DevOps and CI/CD tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in quantitative risk and finance domain, especially rating engines.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain Python 3 software components.
• Write and execute SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyse data.
• Use Linux command-line tools to support development and troubleshooting activities.
• Use Git for version control and collaborative software development.
• Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, using tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and SonarQube.
• Apply software engineering best practices, including testing, code quality, and version control.
• Support the development and maintenance of solutions within the quantitative risk and finance domain.
• Contribute to the development, maintenance, and improvement of rating engines and related components.
• Analyse technical and data-related problems and contribute to effective solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams while progressively developing technical expertise and autonomy.
