Quanteam, founding entity of RAINBOW PARTNERS, is seeking a Python Developer – Risk Systems to design, develop and maintain scalable Python solutions for financial risk systems. The role involves building a core framework for data integration, calculating market and counterparty risk metrics, and delivering incremental applications in a global, agile setup with English fluency.

Hybrid work is available in Porto or Lisbon, with a preference for Porto.

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop and maintain efficient, reusable Python code.
• Develop a core framework for data integration and risk metrics calculation.
• Prototype solutions to validate new concepts and approaches.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and fix defects.
• Ensure performance, quality, scalability and responsiveness of applications.
• Develop automated tests (unit, integration and end-to-end).
• Deliver applications incrementally aligned with evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with international teams in a Scaled Agile environment.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives in automation, AI and development practices.

• Design, develop and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable Python code.
• Contribute to the development of a core framework for data integration and the calculation of market and counterparty risk metrics.
• Rapidly prototype solutions to validate new concepts and technical approaches.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and software defects and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure the performance, quality, scalability and responsiveness of applications.
• Develop automated unit, integration and end-to-end tests.
• Deliver applications incrementally in line with evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with international and multicultural teams in a Scaled Agile environment.
• Contribute to innovation initiatives focused on process automation, artificial intelligence, development practices and knowledge sharing.
• Professional experience in Python software development.
• Strong knowledge of the Python ecosystem, architectural patterns and development best practices.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented and functional programming.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Understanding of software design principles for scalable and maintainable applications.
• Ability to produce clean, efficient and reusable code.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to different audiences.
• Strong sense of responsibility and sound professional judgement.
• Familiarity with Agile or SAFe practices is considered a plus.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model in Porto or Lisbon, with preference for Porto.
• This role offers a gross annual salary between €24500 and €47500, defined according to the candidate’s experience and competencies.
• Permanent contract (CTI).
