PrimeIT is seeking a Python Developer to join the team in Porto or Lisbon. The role focuses on supporting the definition of risk appetite and the risk decision-making process, developing the core framework used for data integration and calculation of market and counterparty risk metrics.

The candidate will collaborate on cross-team innovation projects and contribute to initiatives aligned with Process Efficiency & Automation, Artificial Intelligence, and Knowledge Sharing.

Qualificações

• Strong object-oriented and functional programming fundamentals.
• Proficient in Python and its ecosystem.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Understanding of design principles behind scalable applications.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable Python code.
• Rapidly prototype solutions to prove/disprove concepts.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Python Developer in Porto or Lisbon, to support the definition of the risk appetite and risk decision-making process.

Primary focus will be the development of the core framework used for data integration and calculation of market and counterparty risk metrics.

Innovation is also key and you will have the opportunity to collaborate in cross-team innovation projects and propose initiatives aligned with top innovation priorities: Process Efficiency & Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Development Languages and Knowledge Sharing.

Main Tasks:

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable Python code
• Rapidly prototyping solutions to quickly prove/disprove new concepts
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Incrementally deliver applications to meet dynamic customer requirements

Technical Skills:

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and functional programming paradigms
• Proficient in Python, with a good knowledge of its ecosystem and architectural patterns
• Experience with SQL and any industry standard relational database
• Experience with unit, integration and end to end testing
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

Soft Skills:

• Proficient written & oral communication with the ability to tailor presentation of complex information to a range of different audiences
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Capacity for critical thinking & ability to exercise good judgement with a strong sense of responsibility
• Familiar with Agile/SAFE practices is a plus.
