International Financial Institution in Porto is seeking a Senior Market Risk Analyst to join a global team and manage risk reporting across asset classes. You will develop risk indicators, monitor limits and work with multiple units to ensure alignment with risk policies.

The role offers a hybrid working model and an initial 6-month contract with potential extension. A Master’s degree and 3+ years in market risk are required, with strong SQL/Python skills and fluency in English; French is a plus.

Formación

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Market Risk roles.
• Solid knowledge of financial products and derivatives.
• Experience with multiple asset classes (Fixed Income, Equities, FX or Credit).
• Strong SQL, Python and Excel/VBA skills.
• Fluency in English; French at B1/B2 level.

Responsabilidades

• Produce, analyse and report quantitative risk indicators, including VaR, Stress Tests, Sensitivities and other regulatory metrics.
• Monitor and certify market risk metrics, ensuring the quality and reliability of reported information.
• Analyse daily risk and P&L movements, identifying and explaining significant variations.
• Monitor risk limit consumption and contribute to the management of alerts and exceptions.
• Produce regular reports for management teams and risk committees.
• Collaborate with international teams and business units to ensure consistency and alignment of reported information.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process automation and control optimisation.

• Strong command of SQL, Python and Excel/VBA;
• Fluency in English;
• Good command of French (minimum B1/B2 level);
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and problem-solving mindset;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities in a demanding environment.
