Job summary

PwC Strategy& in Portugal seeks a Manager to lead (sub)projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and act as a liaison between clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. You will mentor colleagues, contribute to winning new projects, ensure quality and deadlines, and present results at the executive level.

Qualifications

• Academic background: Master’s degree, MBA, or PhD completed with excellent grades.
• Relevant experience in top-tier strategy consulting or business roles with responsibility.
• International experience through studies or professional activity, comfortable in global contexts.

You will lead (sub)projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and act as a liaison between clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. You will work closely with colleagues across various consulting areas and leverage the expertise of our global network to develop and implement integrated solutions.

You will also take on a mentoring role, fostering your colleagues’ development and actively contributing to an open and collaborative team culture. Through continuous training, you will deepen your methodological, leadership, and sector-specific skills.

On projects, you will analyze complex client issues, structure problems, and develop strategic solutions with sustainable impact. Typical topics include:

• Development of corporate, business unit, and digital strategies;
• Redefinition of business and operating models;
• Planning and implementation of transformation and change management programs;
• Support for M&A initiatives, carve-outs, and portfolio strategies;
• Optimization of organizations, processes, and value chains;
• Use of data, analytics, and new technologies for decision support.

You will be responsible for your projects’ outcomes, ensuring quality, meeting deadlines, and controlling budgets, and you will present results at the executive (C-Level) level. Additionally, you will actively contribute to winning new projects, developing proposals, and strengthening business relationships with clients.

Your profile:

• Academic background: Master’s degree, MBA, or PhD completed with excellent grades in fields such as Economics, Management, Computer Science (or equivalent), Engineering, Statistics/Data Science, or similar areas;
• Relevant experience in top-tier strategy consulting or business roles with responsibility, ideally in strategy, transformation, digitalization, or performance improvement. Experience in project management and developing commercial proposals;
• International experience through studies or professional activity, comfortable working in global and multicultural contexts;
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in Portuguese and English; • Strong analytical thinking and structured approach, with the ability to quickly understand complex topics and translate them into solid, actionable recommendations;
• Proficiency in common tools (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint) and openness to modern data analysis and artificial intelligence tools; knowledge of data processing, statistical software, or programming languages is valued;
  High level of initiative, sense of responsibility, and team spirit. Strong client orientation and focus on generating sustainable impact.
