Job summary

PwC Portugal is seeking a driven consultant to join the Operations Transformation team. You will work with clients to translate strategy into actionable change, analysing processes, operating models and data to drive performance improvements.

In this role you will design sustainable transformation programs, develop roadmaps, and support business cases while collaborating with PwC specialists across technology, data and finance. Portuguese and English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant experience in consulting, transformation, strategy or operational improvement roles.
• Demonstrated experience supporting business transformation, process optimisation or operational improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to structure ambiguous business challenges into practical solutions.
• Ability to analyse operational, financial and process data to support decision-making and business cases.
• Fluent written and spoken Portuguese and English.

The role

As part of our Operations Transformation practice, you will work closely with clients to understand how their organisations operate in practice, identify opportunities for improvement and support the design and implementation of sustainable change initiatives.

You will analyse business processes, operating models and organisational structures to identify inefficiencies, improve performance and support business transformation programmes. Working with client teams, you will help assess where processes can be simplified, automated or redesigned, while ensuring operational effectiveness and stakeholder engagement.

You will contribute to the development of business cases, cost baselines, operational assessments and transformation roadmaps. By combining quantitative analysis with practical business insight, you will help clients make informed decisions around operational excellence, cost optimisation, technology adoption and organisational change.

You will also work with multidisciplinary teams across PwC, including specialists in technology, data, finance and people transformation, supporting initiatives related to process improvement, supply chain optimisation, procurement transformation, data governance and digital enablement.

From the early stages of client engagements, you will participate in workshops, interviews and stakeholder discussions, helping to transform complex analysis into clear recommendations and actionable executive-level deliverables.

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Economics, Engineering or a related field;
• Relevant experience in consulting, transformation, strategy or operational improvement roles;
• Demonstrated experience supporting business transformation, process optimisation or operational improvement initiatives;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to structure ambiguous business challenges into practical solutions;
• Ability to analyse operational, financial and process data to support decision-making and business cases;
• Strong understanding of how organisations operate across functions and value chains;
• Interest in operational excellence, process redesign, automation, supply chain or procurement transformation;
• Comfortable working with data and applying sound judgement beyond what data alone may indicate;
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills;
• Experience working with digital, automation or AI-enabled transformation initiatives is considered an advantage;
• Practical understanding of how AI tools can enhance productivity and business transformation outcomes;
• Proactive, curious and adaptable mindset, with a strong willingness to learn and grow;
• Fluent written and spoken Portuguese and English.
