Job summary

agap2 indústria is seeking a motivated Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Portugal. The role requires a background in Engineering with +2 years of experience in purchasing activities, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

As an on-site position, you will build relationships with suppliers, lead the Project Purchasing team, and drive procurement excellence across quotation, NPI, and industrialization projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• +2 years of experience in Purchasing activities or similar role, preferably with industrial contact.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to manage supplier relationships.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills to manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the Project Purchasing team to foster high performance and continuous improvement.
• Implement sourcing strategies and procurement best practices.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain and project risks in line with customer commitments and milestones.
• Drive supplier readiness, material availability, and cost competitiveness from launch to serial production.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver timely sourcing solutions.

The main responsibilities are:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and key internal stakeholders;
• Lead, coach, and develop the Project Purchasing team, fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture;
• Ensure effective implementation of sourcing strategies and procurement best practices;
• Identify and mitigate supply chain and project risks, ensuring alignment with customer commitments and project milestones;
• Drive supplier readiness, material availability, and cost competitiveness from project launch through serial production;
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver accurate and timely sourcing solutions;
• Manage supplier RFQs, quotations, and commercial negotiations to ensure competitive and profitable project outcomes;
• Lead procurement activities across quotation, NPI, and industrialization projects;
• Manage critical escalations and ensure timely resolution of procurement-related issues.
