Job summary

Excetech in Lisbon is seeking an engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot SMT equipment at customer sites, train customers on operation and maintenance, and lead projects to optimise solutions. You will coordinate with teams across borders to support international customers and drive growth in the Lisbon market.

The role offers real responsibility, training opportunities, and exposure to global engineers. A full-time position with travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in the SMT electronics industry.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to understand requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot SMT and related equipment at customer sites.
• Train customers on machine operation, programming and maintenance, and support after installation.
• Lead projects to optimise SMT solutions and improve production capacity.
• Provide emergency support outside normal working hours.
• Prepare technical reports and English PPT solutions; follow up on issues, PO's and payments; test new machines on request.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot SMT and related equipment at customer sites.


• Train customers on machine operation, programming and maintenance, and support them after installation.


• Lead projects: advise on and optimise complete SMT solutions, improve production capacity and drive automation.


• Be there when it matters, with emergency support for customers outside normal working hours.


• Prepare technical reports and English PPT solutions, follow up on open issues, purchase orders and payments, and demonstrate or test new machines on request.


• Coordinate orders and deliveries. You communicate with the customer; our business assistant team in China handles the detailed processing.


• Represent Excetech. Introduce our company and products to new customers, and pass their requests to your supervisor so we can follow up.


• Work as one team with colleagues across the company to keep customers satisfied.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.


• Experience: Background in the SMT electronics industry.


• English: Written, reading and spoken English at a working level.


• Technical knowledge: Basic understanding of PLC, AOI, SPI, printers, mounters, ovens, wave solder machines, conveyors and similar equipment.


• Customer mindset: You listen closely to customer requirements and enjoy exploring and developing new customer markets.


• Nice to have: An understanding of Chinese culture, or genuine curiosity about it. You do not need to speak Chinese.
