Job summary

Generix Group in Porto is seeking a Junior Project Accountant (French Speaker) to support the Finance and Professional Services teams in administrative and financial management of customer projects. You will help ensure project invoicing accuracy, monitor profitability, and maintain data quality across financial systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
• Experience in accounting, auditing, controlling, or sales administration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation and maintenance of projects in management systems.
• Ensure the consistency and accuracy of project financial data.
• Monitor project budgets, revenues, costs, and margins.
• Identify variances and alert the relevant teams.
• Prepare information required for project invoicing.
• Verify compliance with contractual milestones before issuing invoices.
• Ensure reconciliation between contracts, customer purchase orders, and invoicing.
• Contribute to revenue recognition monitoring.
• Support Project Managers on administrative and financial matters.
• Respond to internal inquiries related to projects.
• Assist in resolving invoicing or data-related issues.
• Prepare regular financial reports.
• Participate in monthly closing activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and internal controls.

Within the Porto Shared Services Center, the Junior Project Accountant supports the Finance and Professional Services teams in the administrative and financial management of customer projects. The role contributes to the quality of project invoicing, profitability monitoring, financial data management, and continuous process improvement.

Education

Experience

Technical Skills

• Comfortable working with ERP systems and management tools.
• Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage.

Languages

• Professional proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
