Job summary

QUANTEAM (RAINBOW PARTNERS Group) is seeking an ETL Developer / Programmer Analyst to join our team in Lisbon. You will participate in the full ETL development lifecycle, designing and maintaining DataStage ETL processes and writing complex SQL.

You will conduct unit and integration tests and support deployment, leveraging ALM Octane or Quality Center for testing. You should have hands-on DataStage PX experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.

We are looking for an ETL Developer / Programmer Analyst – IBM DataStage

• Participate in the full ETL development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing and deployment.
• Design, develop and maintain ETL processes using IBM DataStage PX and SQL.
• Perform unit, integration and automated testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Use testing tools such as ALM Octane, Quality Center or similar solutions.
• Analyze business and technical requirements, contributing to the definition of effective technical solutions.
• Develop and customize IBM DataStage components according to project needs.
• Provide Level 3 application support, troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
• Monitor and optimize ETL performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement and proof-of-concept development.
• Ensure compliance with established technical standards, development methodologies and best practices.
• Professional experience in ETL development and data integration.
• Hands‑on experience with IBM DataStage PX (Parallel Extender).
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, data manipulation and performance optimization.
• Good understanding of ETL architecture, data transformation and integration processes.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing and test automation.
• Familiarity with ALM Octane, Quality Center or similar testing tools is an advantage.
• Experience in application maintenance, troubleshooting and Level 3 support.
• Ability to analyze and challenge business and technical requirements.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Availability to work in Lisbon, Portugal.
