Elastic, the Search AI Company, seeks a Principal Software Engineer to lead Platform Infrastructure - Application Networking for Elastic Cloud. You will drive technical vision, architecture, and design for Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security at scale, partnering across teams to deliver high-impact networking capabilities.

This senior role requires ownership, high availability SaaS experience, and a track record of influencing across organizations.

Qualificações

Experience building software for complex distributed systems.
Expertise in application networking and cloud-native architecture.
Experience with Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls.
Experience leading multi-quarter projects.
Incident response and reliability improvement experience.
Experience using AI to accelerate development.
Ability to collaborate across functions.
Ability to work autonomously in a distributed team.

Responsabilidades

Set the technical direction for major application networking initiatives from proposal through GA.
Lead development of Ingress, private connectivity, DNS, and security controls at scale for Elastic Cloud.
Guide multi-quarter projects across organizations to delivery.
Improve operational quality; lead incident investigations and on-call rotation.
Mentor engineers and set standards for software quality.
Advise product management and senior engineers on trade-offs and roadmap.
Identify improvements to security, stability, and cost efficiency.
