Job summary

WIT Software is seeking an experienced Generative AI Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable backend services for AI-powered applications. You will implement production-ready GenAI solutions using LLMs, and design RAG pipelines, APIs, and vector search systems to support diverse use cases.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize architectures for performance and reliability, and mentor peers in GenAI best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years building Generative AI applications with LLMs.
• Hands-on experience with speech and multimodal models (STT, TTS, vision).
• Proficiency in Python and asynchronous I/O for LLM workloads.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, containers and orchestration.
• Understanding of responsible AI and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services for AI-powered apps.
• Build production-ready GenAI solutions using LLMs.
• Develop RAG or tool-based pipelines and AI orchestration workflows.
• Create scalable APIs, distributed systems and vector search solutions.
• Evaluate and optimize foundation models for various use cases.
