WIT Software seeks an experienced Generative AI Engineer to join our Product Team in Portugal. You will design and scale backend services for AI-powered applications, build production-ready LLM solutions, and optimize RAG pipelines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and help establish engineering standards. The role requires 5+ years in software development and 2+ years with LLMs, deep Python expertise, and fluent English.

Qualificações

Degree in Computer Science or related field.
5+ years in software development.
2+ years building Generative AI apps with LLMs.
Experience with speech and multimodal models (STT/TTS/vision).
Proficiency in Python, async I/O and API usage.
Experience RESTful APIs, microservices and CI/CD.
English fluency.

Responsabilidades

Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services for AI-powered applications.
Design and implement production-ready Generative AI solutions using LLMs.
Design, optimize and evaluate RAG or tool-based pipelines and AI orchestration workflows.
Design scalable APIs, distributed systems and vector search solutions.
Evaluate, integrate and optimize foundation models for different use cases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and product evolution.
Contribute to software architecture, technical documentation and engineering best practices.
Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies.
Lead design reviews, define engineering standards and mentor engineers on Generative AI best practices.
