Job summary

Mollie is hiring a Platform Engineer in our Observability team to enhance monitoring across our platforms and drive operational excellence for European businesses. You’ll build scalable observability tools and data pipelines, collaborating with engineers to embed best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup, growing your skills while contributing to a fast-moving fintech environment that values innovation and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Solid software engineering background with a focus on observability and monitoring.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider.
• Proficiency in Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog or Sentry.
• Strong Linux and shell skills.
• Good coding skills in languages like PHP, Java, Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain observability tools and platforms with scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed observability in the development lifecycle.
• Lead standardised observability frameworks for consistency and efficiency.
• Design and refine data pipelines to collect and normalise telemetry data.
• Promote best practices in instrumentation for high-quality data.
• Contribute to a comprehensive service inventory and impact tracking.
• Share knowledge and foster a culture of innovation in observability.
