Mollie Lisbon hub is looking for an Engineer II to build large-scale financial products, APIs and services that help merchants manage payments and money flows across Europe.

You will own architectural initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams and ship high-quality software, while shaping Mollie's payment processing platform and new financial products. Relocation support is not offered.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience developing large-scale applications, preferably with PHP or Java.
• Experience with Go, C#, or Python is valued but you are willing to work with PHP or Java.
• Experience in designing systems and handling queuing, caching, concurrency, fault tolerance and scalability.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience working effectively with various stakeholders.

In-person payments, allows merchants to accept payments at their physical stores through our terminal and mobile app. These innovations are just the beginning, enabling Mollie to offer a seamless all-in-one payment solution and money management platform.

Our Lisbon hub:

Situated in the heart of Lisbon at Marques de Pombal, our team of 50+ engineers from 8 different nationalities, are all contributing to Mollie’s mission of delivering an outstanding Merchant Experience through our web and mobile app at the same time that we are scaling and enhancing our Payment Processing and Orchestration Platform This enables the launch of innovative Payments and Financial Products.

What you will be doing:

What you will bring:

• Always Be Shipping mindset : It’s about consistently delivering value to customers, where speed and quality go hand in hand.

• 3+ years of experience in developing large-scale applications, preferably with PHP or Java. Experience with Go, C#, or Python is also valued but you are willing to work with PHP or Java.

• Experience in designing systems and handling queuing, caching, concurrency, fault tolerance and scalability.

• Excellent communication skills, with experience working effectively with various stakeholders. Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to shape ideas with a product-first approach, as well as analyse and resolve complex issues.
