act digital in Lisbon is seeking a Confirmed / Senior Platform Engineer to join the Digital Infrastructure team. You will be instrumental in building an automated SDLC platform, integrating Backstage, and streamlining engineering workflows across the organization.

You will collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, and delivery squads to ensure secure SDLC practices and DevSecOps adoption, enabling scalable developer experiences and enterprise-grade operations.

Qualificações

• Confirmed or Senior platform engineer with hands-on CI/CD experience.
• Strong expertise in GitLab pipelines, automation, and release lifecycles.
• Hands-on with Backstage or similar internal developer portals.
• Proven Terraform and Ansible experience for IaC and automation.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain automated platform capabilities for fast, reliable software delivery.
• Integrate and scale Backstage as the single portal for development tooling.
• Build reusable CI/CD templates and infrastructure modules supporting AI-assisted delivery.
• Define engineering standards and promote DevSecOps across teams.

At act digital, we are recruiting a Confirmed / Senior Platform Engineer to join the Digital Infrastructure team in Lisbon. You will be instrumental in building an automated SDLC platform, integrating Backstage, and streamlining engineering workflows across the organization.

What you will do

• Next-Gen SDLC Workflows: Design, implement, and maintain automated platform capabilities enabling development squads to deliver software quickly, reliably, and securely.
• Internal Developer Portal (Backstage): Integrate and scale Backstage as the single pane of glass, connecting it with GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Nexus, and SonarQube.
• AI-Assisted Delivery: Build reusable CI/CD templates, automation scripts, and infrastructure modules supporting application delivery through AI agents.
• Platform Industrialization: Define engineering standards, drive DevSecOps adoption, and optimize platform reliability, security, and developer experience.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with architecture, cybersecurity, and delivery squads to ensure frictionless platform adoption and secure SDLC practices.

What we are looking for

• Seniority: Confirmed or Senior background with solid hands-on experience in CI/CD platform administration and DevOps tooling.
• GitLab CI/CD & Automation (Level 4): Deep expertise in advanced GitLab pipelines, repository management, and automated release lifecycles.
• Internal Developer Portals (Level 3): Hands-on experience or solid understanding of Backstage (or equivalent developer portal platforms).
• Infrastructure as Code (Level 3): Proven track record with Terraform and configuration automation with Ansible.
• Tooling Ecosystem: Working experience integrating artifact repositories (Nexus) and code quality/security gates (SonarQube).
• Languages & Schedule: Fluent English with strong communication skills in Agile environments.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AI-assisted software delivery or agentic automation workflows.
• Familiarity with secure SDLC, DevSecOps compliance, and enterprise-grade operations in banking or regulated sectors.
