REQUIMTE - Rede de Quimica e Tecnologia invites applications for a PhD researcher to join the NUTRIBRAIN project at ISEP in Portugal. The position is a temporary contract aimed at pursuing scientific research activities in chemistry and bioactivity of natural products, including development of food supplements.

The successful candidate will contribute to extraction, chemical characterization, and cell-based assays, supported by FEDER funds.

Qualifications

• Must hold a doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology or related field.
• Experience in extraction of bioactive metabolites from natural matrices using different techniques.
• Chromatographic characterization of natural products (HPLC-PDA, LC-MS) is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Extraction of bioactive metabolites from natural matrices.
• Chemical characterization of extracts, fractions and compounds by chromatographic techniques.
• Cultivation and maintenance of cell cultures and execution of cellular assays relevant to the project.
