Job summary

iBET in Portugal advertises a Master’s Research Fellowship in Natural Bioactives and Nutraceuticals for the PeptiByPro project. The successful candidate will work on characterizing natural extracts and evaluating cytotoxicity, anti-ageing and anti-hyperpigmentation effects using cell-free and cell-based assays.

The role involves preparing scientific reports, attending project meetings, and contributing to routine lab tasks.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with a minimum grade of 16 in scientific areas.
• Experience with analytical methodologies including HPLC and GC.
• Experience in cell culture, bioactivity and toxicity assays for cosmetics.
• Experience in extraction of natural compounds from plants.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Portuguese.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research activities under the PeptiByPro project focusing on cosmetic potential of natural extracts.
• Chemically characterize natural extracts and evaluate cytotoxicity.
• Assess anti-ageing and anti-hyperpigmentation effects using cell-free and cell-based assays.
• Prepare scientific reports and participate in periodic project meetings.
• Contribute to general lab tasks and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
