Exide Technologies in Castanheira do Ribatejo, Portugal, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing for all employees, while supporting reporting and payroll improvements.

Reporting to the Business Controller & Payroll Manager, you will manage attendance, time tracking, social security declarations, and payroll components, requiring attention to detail and strong Excel skills.

Qualificações

• Degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Economics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in payroll.
• Knowledge of labor legislation.
• Experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Proactive attitude and team spirit.
• Attention to detail and strong planning skills.
• Good command of English.
• Proficiency in IT tools from a user perspective (Excel).
• Experience with Primavera software (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Process payroll for all Exide employees in Portugal.
• Maintain and update the employee database.
• Manage daily time and attendance (absences, overtime, schedules).
• Prepare reports and KPIs to support HR management.
• Process and review all payroll components.
• Prepare monthly income declarations for Social Security and Tax Authorities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, internal controls, and Exide Group guidelines.
• Prepare management reports (weekly, monthly, and year-end).
• Support payroll budget and forecast activities.
• Manage wage garnishments (payroll deductions, collection, and payments).
• Support HR in interpreting applicable legislation related to payroll.
• Respond to employee queries.
• Actively contribute to the improvement of internal departmental processes.

About the job:

For our growing division Corporate in Castanheira do Ribatejo, Portugal at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: Payroll Specialist.
