Job summary

World Courier is seeking an Operations & Logistics Specialist in Porto, Portugal to coordinate shipments, oversee warehouse activities and support transportation operations. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in logistics or related fields, a valid driver's license, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations or supply chain.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Forklift certification or logistics-related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor import and export shipments using internal transportation systems.
• Support shipment planning, routing and operational execution to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers and provide shipment status updates.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation, labels and customs-related paperwork.
• Handle, package and prepare shipments, including cold chain and temperature-controlled products.
• Manage warehouse inventory, packaging materials and temperature-control supplies.
• Coordinate pickups, deliveries and transportation providers to ensure service excellence.
• Monitor shipment milestones, identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and transportation regulations (IATA, ADR, GDP, etc.).
• Operate company vehicles and support collection and delivery activities when required.
• Maintain accurate operational records and support continuous process improvement initiatives.

Position Summary

What We're Looking For

Experience & Education
