Job summary

World Courier is seeking an Operations & Logistics Specialist in Porto, Portugal to coordinate shipments, oversee warehouse activities and support transportation operations. The role requires planning, monitoring and collaboration with customers, carriers and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in logistics or related fields, a valid driver's license, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations or supply chain.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Forklift certification or logistics-related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor import and export shipments using internal transportation systems.
• Support shipment planning, routing and operational execution to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers and provide shipment status updates.
• Prepare and verify shipping documentation, labels and customs-related paperwork.
• Handle, package and prepare shipments, including cold chain and temperature-controlled products.
• Manage warehouse inventory, packaging materials and temperature-control supplies.
• Coordinate pickups, deliveries and transportation providers to ensure service excellence.
• Monitor shipment milestones, identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and transportation regulations (IATA, ADR, GDP, etc.).
• Operate company vehicles and support collection and delivery activities when required.
• Maintain accurate operational records and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
