Grünenthal Group in Lisbon, Portugal, seeks a senior R&D scientist to lead the design and computational optimization of RNA therapeutics, particularly siRNA, integrating RNA biology with oligonucleotide chemistry for gene knockdown and RNA regulation.

You will develop computational tools (Python or R) to enable scalable oligonucleotide design, collaborate with chemists and delivery scientists, and drive iterative design–test–learn cycles toward clinical development.

Qualificações

• PhD in RNA biology, molecular biology, computational biology, or related field.
• 10+ years of industry experience in RNA therapeutics or related area.
• Strong scripting and data analysis skills (Python, R).

Responsabilidades

• Lead RNA therapeutic design and optimisation projects from concept to progression toward clinical development.
• Develop and apply computational workflows to integrate sequence, chemistry and biological data.
• Collaborate with chemists and delivery scientists to optimise sequence, chemistry and delivery.
• Drive design–test–learn cycles to inform decision-making across discovery programs.
