Bekaert is seeking an R&D Scientist to join its polymer technologies team within the Technology & Innovation group. You will drive development and optimization of polymers, fibers, coatings, and hybrid systems to support energy transition and mobility markets.

You will lead lab and pilot testing, translate customer needs into technical plans, collaborate across functions, and guide junior staff while promoting safety and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Master's or PhD in Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Industrial R&D experience is an advantage.
• Ability to translate customer needs into clear technical problems.
• Strong communication and independent work skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and execute product and process development in polymer technologies.
• Design, develop, and run laboratory and pilot-scale testing programs.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and commercial teams.
• Engage with external universities and research institutes to leverage expertise.
• Ensure safety, compliance with standards, and timely milestone delivery.
