Job summary

The Atlantic International Research Centre is seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Support Officer to join the OKEANO team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will help connect researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders across Alliance partner countries.

Responsibilities include coordinating engagement activities, liaising with international partners, and organizing events, webinars and outreach. Fluent English and based in Lisbon area are required; remote one day per week is possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in stakeholder engagement, communications, and/or project support, ideally in a research or international cooperation setting
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
• Comfortable working across international, multi-partner teams
• Interest in ocean research, sustainability, or EU-funded projects is an asset

Responsibilities

• Support planning and coordination of stakeholder engagement activities across the OKEANO consortium
• Liaise with partner organisations and Alliance members to maintain and grow stakeholder relationships
• Assist with organising events, webinars, workshops, and outreach activities
• Contribute to stakeholder mapping, communications, and engagement reporting
• Support delivery of engagement-related project deliverables
