Farfetch is seeking an Observability Engineer in Porto to build and maintain the telemetry ecosystem, enabling scalable data pipelines for Logs, Metrics, Traces, and RUM across the business units.

You will work with OpenTelemetry, Fluentbit, Victoria Metrics, and Grafana, with Kubernetes exposure and a need for a programming language (Go or Python) to automate tooling and exporters. The role emphasizes reliability, performance, and cost-aware observability.

Qualificações

• Hands-on experience with observability tools and distributed systems.
• Familiar with OpenTelemetry, Fluentbit, Victoria Metrics/Logs, and Grafana.
• Experience with Kubernetes and at least one language (Go or Python).

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement scalable observability infrastructure.
• Manage data pipelines for Logs, Metrics, and Traces with OTEL, Fluentbit, and Victoria Metrics.
• Build self-service capabilities for engineering teams to do autonomous analysis and investigation.
• Monitor and maintain the reliability of the observability stack (Grafana, exporters).
• Integrate Observability Frameworks into the platform architecture.
• Engage in technical discussions and share knowledge to promote continuous learning.
