Next Engineering is seeking a NOC Consultant to join the Porto team in a hybrid work setup. You will monitor networks, servers and IT services, perform first-level troubleshooting, and escalate incidents while ensuring documentation and compliance with IT processes.

Candidates should have about 2 years of experience, a background in IT/Networking, and fluency in English. The role offers a base salary with additional benefits in Porto, Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor networks, servers, applications and IT services using monitoring tools.
• Identify, register and perform first-level troubleshooting of incidents and alerts.
• Escalate incidents to specialized teams when required and follow up until resolution.
• Execute routine operational checks and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with incident, problem and change management processes.

What We Expect From You

• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and Windows & Linux environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and IT ticketing systems.
• Basic understanding of IT security best practices and log analysis.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and good communication abilities.
• Degree or technical course in IT, Computer Engineering, Networks, Telecommunications or related areas (CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation or CCNA are a plus).
• Some experience in Technical Support, Help Desk, IT Operations or similar roles (internships and academic projects are also valued).
• Fluency in English.
