Expleo in Lisbon, Portugal is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join the IT Operations team. You will administer, configure and support Cisco and HP Aruba networks, manage Fortigate and SonicWall firewalls, and handle VPN connectivity and VMware networking to keep the client’s environment secure and available.

You will participate in SD-WAN projects and LAN/Wi‑Fi refreshes, attend bi-weekly sprint meetings, and work with ITSM/ADO boards on incidents, changes and CAB processes, while

Qualificações

• Hands-on network engineering across Cisco and HP Aruba.
• Fortigate and SonicWall firewall experience.
• VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
• VMware networking support experience.
• ITSM processes and Azure DevOps familiarity.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

Responsibilities

Network Operations (BAU)

• Administer, configure and support the client network across Cisco and HP Aruba switching and wireless.
• Manage SonicWall devices and Fortigate firewalls, including rules, policies, firmware and health.
• Support VPN connectivity (site-to-site and remote access) and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Support networking for the VMware virtualised environment.
• Complete start-of-day checks on network health, monitoring and alerts.

Projects & Initiatives

• Support the SD-WAN implementation, including site migrations, testing and handover into BAU.
• Support the LAN and Wi-Fi refresh programmes: design input, configuration, cutover and validation.
• Take part in bi-weekly sprint meetings and deliver assigned ADO work items.

Service Management & Governance

• Handle incidents and service requests raised through ITSM and tracked in ADO; own incidents through to resolution and RCA.
• Raise, document and implement network changes through CAB.
• Communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders during incidents and changes.
• Escalate to and work with vendors when issues go beyond internal support.

Automation, Security & Documentation

• Automate repetitive configuration, backup and compliance checks where possible.
• Apply network security standards and least-privilege access.
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations and runbooks in Confluence.

Essential skills

• Hands-on network engineering experience across Cisco and HP Aruba (switching, routing, wireless).
• Firewall experience with Fortigate and SonicWall.
• VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience supporting networking in VMware environments.
• Experience with ITSM processes (incident, request, change including CAB) and ADO boards.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Desired skills

• SD-WAN implementation and migration experience.
• LAN and Wi-Fi refresh/deployment experience, including wireless surveys.
• Network automation/scripting (e.g. Python, Ansible).
• Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Aruba ACMA/ACMP, Fortinet NSE.
