Qualifications

• Proven experience as Network and Systems Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and LAN/WAN.
• Experience with firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux, virtualization tech such as VMware.
• Good English communication; Portuguese is a plus.
• Ability to work part-time and adapt to a flexible schedule.

Network and Systems Administrator (Part-Time)

We are in need of a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis in Porto, Portugal. As the Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining our organization's network infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.

• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Implement security measures to protect the network from cyber threats
• Manage user accounts and permissions on various systems
• Perform regular backups and system updates to ensure data integrity
• Provide technical support to staff members with networking or system related problems
• Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and implement new technologies

• Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and concepts (LAN/WAN)
• Experience with network security tools such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and virtualization technologies (VMware)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
• Ability to work part-time hours on a flexible schedule

Salary: This is a part-time position with a salary of 1200$ per month.

Location: This position is located in Porto, Portugal. Candidates who are already based in Porto will be given preference.
