Job summary

Nimber is seeking a Murex Developer to join a challenging project in the investment banking space, focusing on regulatory solutions built around the Murex platform. You will contribute to development, maintenance and data integration in an Agile IT environment.

The role combines software development, troubleshooting and automation, offering exposure to Datamart, MSL and MXML Exchange, SQL/PLSQL in Oracle, and scripting with Shell and Python. Global collaboration and code quality are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Higher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• Professional software development experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of Murex, Datamart, MSL and MXML Exchange.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills in Oracle environments.
• Experience with Shell scripting.
• Knowledge of XML, XSLT, XSL and HTML.
• Familiarity with SOAP-based integrations.
• Experience with Python.
• Proficiency in Git.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Good communication and commitment to code quality and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance applications within the Murex platform.
• Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance, resolving technical issues and implementing new features.
• Work with Murex Datamart, MSL and MXML Exchange to support regulatory processes and data integration.
• Develop and optimise SQL and PL/SQL queries in Oracle environments.
• Create and maintain Shell and Python scripts for automation and operational improvements.
• Work with XML, XSLT, XSL and SOAP for data transformation and system integration.
• Participate in testing activities, including the development and automation of tests.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver prioritised tasks within an Agile framework.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability and reliability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to improving development processes, tools and technical best practices.
• Share technical knowledge, document solutions and regularly communicate progress to the team.
