Job summary

act digital in Lisbon seeks an experienced software professional to develop and maintain solutions in the Murex Regulatory IT environment. You will perform maintenance on Murex-based applications and collaborate with the broader team on prioritized tasks and projects.

The role requires strong SQL/Oracle and PL/SQL skills, plus experience with XSLT/XML/HTML and SOAP. Hybrid work is offered, with 2 days per week in the Lisbon office, and a focus on quality, automation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Higher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in software development and coding.
• Experience with Murex Datamart, MSL and Exchange MXML.
• Strong Shell scripting experience.
• Strong SQL skills, particularly with Oracle databases.
• Experience with PL/SQL.
• Experience with XSLT, XSL, XML and HTML.
• Experience with SOAP.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical progress clearly and collaborate effectively with the team.
• Availability to work in a hybrid regime, 2 days per week from the Lisbon office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain solutions within the Murex Regulatory IT environment.
• Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance on Murex-based applications.
• Develop and implement solutions for prioritized tasks and projects in collaboration with the wider team.
• Work with Murex Datamart, MSL and Exchange MXML as part of development and maintenance activities.
• Develop and maintain Shell scripts and database-related solutions using SQL / Oracle and PL/SQL.
• Work with XSLT, XSL, XML, HTML and SOAP for application development and integration activities.
• Develop automation and supporting tools using Python where required.
• Ensure the quality, reliability and maintainability of delivered solutions.
• Design and implement test automation required to ensure the correct functioning of applications.
• Regularly communicate the status and progress of assigned tasks and deliverables.
• Collaborate with other team members within an Agile development methodology.
• Share technical knowledge and best practices with other members of the team.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools and testing practices.
• Use Git for source code management and version control.
