Volkswagen Group Services in Lisbon is looking for an experienced Mendix Developer to join our Smart Cloud Factory Team. You will design and build Mendix applications, collaborating with analysts to deliver enterprise-scale, high-quality software solutions.

Work includes creating intuitive user interfaces, implementing business logic, and integrating data from diverse sources. A hybrid work model and ongoing Mendix learning opportunities support your professional growth.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3.5+ years of Mendix Platform experience on enterprise-grade applications.
• Strong knowledge of low-code development and web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, JQuery, CSS).
• Experience with SQL, data integrations and API development; REST/SOAP.
• Familiar with SDLC and agile methodologies; strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Mendix certifications are a plus; knowledge of cloud tech (AWS) is a bonus.

Responsabilidades

The Smart Cloud Factory is dedicated to transforming traditional manufacturing into a fully connected, intelligent, and sustainable Smart Factory. The factory leverages digitalized and automated manufacturing processes, real-time data integration and analytics, sustainable and energy-efficient production systems, and human-machine collaboration to achieve Volkswagen’s vision of a Software-Enabled Car Company.

The Smart Cloud Factory supports the integration of IoT, cloud platforms, data pipelines, and AI to enable predictive maintenance, real-time quality control, and agile manufacturing. What will your responsibilities be?

• - Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and understand project objectives
• - Take a leading role in the implementation of the latest software initiatives for our clients
• - Design and develop Mendix applications using best practices and maintainable code.
• - Create intuitive user interfaces using Mendix Studio or Mendix Studio Pro, ensuring a seamless user experience
• - Implement business logic and workflows using Mendix microflows and server actions.
• - Integrate data from various sources and systems into Mendix applications
• - Perform testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
• - Optimize application performance and ensure scalability for future growth
• - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, back-end developers, and designers
• - Stay up-to-date with Mendix updates, industry trends, and best practices

What requirements are we looking for?

• - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• - A minimum of 3.5+ years of professional experience working with the Mendix Platform on enterprise-grade applications touching all layers from data modeling and integrations to business logic and UI
• - Solid understanding in Low code programming best practices and implementation
• - Deep knowledge in web-based languages (JavaScript, JQuery, CSS, HTML)
• - Hands-on experience working with SQL, relational databases, data integration and in API development
• - Strong understanding of web services (REST and SOAP)
• - Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• - Strong communication skills, mainly to collaborate with team members, and mentoring junior team members
• - Mendix certifications (preferred, but not mandatory)
• - Knowledgeable in Cloud technologies (preferred AWS) is a plus
