Job summary

Volkswagen Group Services in Lisbon seeks a Senior Mendix Developer to join the Smart Cloud Factory Team, driving modern Mendix applications and cloud-based integrations. You will own end-to-end development, data modeling, and UI/UX for scalable digital solutions that support predictive maintenance and agile manufacturing.

The role requires 3.5+ years of Mendix experience, strong SQL skills, and a solid grasp of SDLC and agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• 3.5+ years with Mendix Platform on enterprise-grade apps across data modeling, integrations, business logic and UI.
• Solid understanding of low-code best practices and implementation.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, relational DBs, data integration and API development.
• Strong understanding of REST and SOAP web services.
• Solid knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail; good communication and mentoring skills.
• Mendix certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and objectives.
• Lead the implementation of the latest software initiatives for clients.
• Design and develop Mendix applications with best practices and maintainable code.
• Create intuitive UIs using Mendix Studio or Studio Pro for seamless UX.
• Implement business logic and workflows with Mendix microflows and server actions.
• Integrate data from diverse sources into Mendix apps.
• Perform testing, debugging and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Optimize performance and plan for future scalability.
• Collaborate with front-end, back-end developers and designers.
• Stay updated with Mendix updates, industry trends and best practices.
