Versigent is seeking a ME Engineer to design and develop production workstations and optimize manufacturing processes. You will coordinate product changes, ensure timely launches, and liaise with customers on technical requirements.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering background, 2 years in automotive, English proficiency, and CAD/tooling experience. The role is based in Portugal with growth opportunities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's in engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)
• Minimum 2 years automotive experience preferred
• Strong written and spoken English
• Proficient with CAD and engineering design tools
• Good command of MS Office and project coordination

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop production workstations following company standards and requirements.
• Define and optimize process flows in line with manufacturing standards.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement product changes with minimal disruption.
• Ensure timely execution of product launches and engineering changes with stakeholders.
• Act as technical liaison with customers to align on project requirements.
• Oversee project execution and ensure product quality and process performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in production and resolve issues.
• Analyze workloads and eliminate non-value-added tasks to boost efficiency.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve operations.

YOUR ROLE

Characterized summarily as "a professional who develops and applies industrial methods and processes in the field of Engineering and participates in the planning, execution and improvement of projects". Without prejudice to the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the First Party may, at any time, within the legal limits, and provided that this does not imply professional devaluation or a reduction in remuneration, entrust the Second Party with performing other activities, even if they are not expressly mentioned in the preceding paragraph or included in the definition of their professional category.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop production workstations in accordance with company standards, procedures, and operational requirements.
• Define and optimize process flows in line with manufacturing standards and best practices.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement product changes within the production environment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Ensure the timely execution of product launches and engineering changes in accordance with commitments agreed with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as the primary technical liaison with customers, providing support and ensuring alignment on project requirements.
• Oversee project execution and ensure product quality and process performance meet customer specifications and expectations.
• Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the production area, while identifying, analyzing, and resolving manufacturing process issues.
• Analyze workstation workloads and production activities to identify and eliminate non-value-added tasks, improving efficiency and productivity.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies and tools to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering/Management.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience within the automotive industry is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software and engineering design tools is considered an advantage.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on results, objectives, and meeting deadlines.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to achieving business objectives.
