Globeducate International Schools is seeking an experienced Mathematics teacher to join IPS Cascais British International School in Cascais, Lisbon, Portugal. You will teach Mathematics to secondary students within a British/international school setting, aligning with UK curriculum expectations for KS3–KS4 (KS5 preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar field.
• English proficiency at native or C2/C1 level.
• PGCE or equivalent UK qualification, or recognized Spanish teaching qualification (Master’s level).
• Experience teaching Mathematics in the British system from KS3 to KS5.
• Knowledge of UK curriculum for KS3–KS4 (KS5 preferred).

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Mathematics teacher to join our team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or a related numerate discipline.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an internationally recognised teaching qualification suitable for secondary education.
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level, ideally within a British or international school environment.
• Strong understanding of UK curriculum expectations for KS3–KS4 (and preferably KS5) Mathematics.
• Ability to deliver clear, structured, and engaging lessons, ensuring accessibility for learners of mixed abilities.
• Experience using assessment for learning, progress tracking, and data‑informed teaching strategies.
• Confident in teaching a range of mathematical strands, including algebra, geometry, statistics, and problem‑solving.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to establish a positive, supportive learning environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Proficient level of English (native speaker or C2/C1 level).
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, ideally English or a related field.
• A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification, or a recognised Spanish teaching qualification (Master’s level).
• Experience in teaching Mathematics in the British system from KS3 to KS5.
