Siemens in Setúbal is seeking a Manufacturing Head to lead the production and industrial engineering teams, overseeing approximately 120 workers across Metal parts production, Mechanical Assembly, Wiring, Equipment Maintenance, and Industrial Engineering & Product Industrialization. You will drive strategic development, implement processes, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role requires an engineering degree and at least 10 years of experience, with a pragmatic mindset and strong

Qualificações

• Engineering degree in Mechanics, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Proven experience in a similar position with a minimum of 10 years.
• Capability of teamwork with ability to implement and drive changes for processes and performance improvement.
• Pragmatic thinking focused on goals without compromising safety or quality requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Drives the strategic development of the areas assigned.
• Implements defined policies and guidelines and defines and ensures implementation of function specific processes, procedures, methods and/or tools.
• Ensures adherence to internal and local EHS standards at all times.
• Plans and proposes unit budgets and allocates financial and personnel resources within given limits.
• Manages and develops all respective workflow processes to ensure production targets are achieved.
• Designs and proposes short- and midterm development of the responsible production unit and monitors investments.
• Ensures optimum machine and workforce utilization and product scheduling.
• Ensures availability of working instructions, rules and guidelines for all production sections and lines.
• Contributes to production plans and maintenance programs.
• Cooperates with Planning, Project Management and other technical/support functions to execute the manufacturing program.
• Manages areas and leads coordinates management, professionals and staff.
• Generates and reports all defined KPI’s.

Under these teams are the areas of Metal parts production, Mechanical Assembly, Wiring, Equipment Maintenance, Industrial Engineering & Product Industrialization with a total of aprox. 120 workers.

The major tasks and responsibilities of the Manufacturing Head are:

• Drives the strategic development of the areas assigned.
• Implements defined superior policies and guidelines, and defines and ensures implementation of function specific processes, procedures, methods and/or tools.
• Ensures adherence at any time to relevant internal and local EHS-standards.
• Plans and proposes unit's budget and decides and allocates financial and personnel resources, within given limits.
• Manages and develops all the respective workflow process to ensure all production targets (Quality, Quantity, Delivery in time) are achieved.
• Designs and proposes short- and midterm development of the responsible production unit (continuous improvement), and sets up and monitors completion of agreed investment projects.
• Ensures optimum machine & workforce utilization and product scheduling.
• Ensures availability of working instructions, rules and guidelines for all productions sections, shifts or production lines assigned.
• Contributes to and implements productions plans.
• Evaluates and contributes to implementation of maintenance programs.
• Cooperates with concerned Planning, Project Management and other technical and support functions to execute the manufacturing program.
• Manages areas assigned, and leads and/or coordinates dedicated Management, Professionals and staff.
• Generate and Reports all necessary & defined KPI's.

We are looking for someone with...

• Engineering degree at Mechanics, Electric or at Industrial Engineering areas
• Proven experience at similar position with a minimum of 10 Years
• Capability of Teamwork and ability to implement and drive changes with the aim of process and performance improvement
• Pragmatical thinking focused at given goals without arming safety or Quality requirements
