Siemens Mobility is seeking an SCM-Procurement / Supply Chain Logistics professional for Setúbal, Portugal. The role focuses on reducing material costs, coordinating with R&D and procurement teams, and driving supplier collaborations to optimize project costs.

You will analyze market trends, align cross-functional strategies, and prepare sourcing decisions with partners to maximize value while ensuring security and compliance. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualificações

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a similar procurement/supply chain role.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Good knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel) and SAP is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Be actively involved in the product development and manufacturing process, and implement cost reduction measures to achieve target material costs.
• Coordinate with suppliers and participate in cost-benefit workshops and supplier interactions.
• Conduct market analyses on global technology and price trends to source new suppliers and technologies.
• Help align procurement strategies with commodity strategies and market trends across the business lines.
• Prepare sourcing decisions with interface partners to leverage technology know-how and safeguard security strategies.
• Support projects to optimize quotes, BoM scope, and potential savings for the program.

Your mission will be...

• Be actively involved in the product development/manufacturing process as well as implement cost reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardization, key data, etc.) to achieve the target costs for materials and reduce the overall material costs by fulfilling the necessary functions. Closely align with R&D community in the BU and Procurement (Commodity Managers, Buyers);


• Include suppliersand contribute to cost-benefit analysis workshops, innovation workshops and concept competitions with key suppliers in order to concentrate on the key functions of the components/projects;


• Conduct and provide market information/analyses on international technology and price trends in order to obtain new suppliers and new technologies in the supply chain;


• Introduce and follow up given cross-functional Procurement strategies to ensure the linkage of commodity strategies and technological market trends;


• Support activities planned by the lines of business in order to harmonize and implement the technological line-of-business strategies with procurement strategies.


• Prepare sourcing decisions with interface partners in order to incorporate technological know-how and safeguard security strategies.


• Be involved in and provide corresponding support for projects in lines of business in order to provide optimum input for quotes, workshops, scope of material (BoM assessment) and realization of potential for savings in the project.


• Assess and develop suppliers from the technological standpoint (if necessary, jointly with interface partners) in order to concentrate on the best suppliers.


• Participate in workgroups and work in projects in order to stay informed and keep and others informed, and exert influence at an early stage.

We are looking for someone with...

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar areas;


• At least 3 years'professional experience in a similar position;


• Previous experience working in factories;


• Fluent English (written and spoken);


• Good knowledge ofMS Office (mainly Excel) and SAP is a plus;


• Strong communication and negotiation skills;


• Customer orientation.
