Siemens is seeking a Procurement professional to drive cost reductions in materials and collaborate with R&D and suppliers to optimize BoM and overall spend.

The role focuses on cross-functional strategy, supplier selection, and market analysis to secure best-in-class components and services across manufacturing initiatives.

Qualificações

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar areas.
• At least 3 years' professional experience in a similar position.
• Previous experience working in factories.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Good knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel) and SAP is a plus.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Project management skills.
• Customer orientation.

Responsabilidades

• Be actively involved in the product development/manufacturing process and implement cost reduction measures to achieve target material costs.
• Include suppliers and contribute to cost-benefit analyses and workshops with key suppliers.
• Conduct market information/analyses on international technology and price trends to identify new suppliers and technologies.
• Introduce cross-functional procurement strategies and align commodity strategies with market trends.
• Support business lines to harmonize procurement strategies with line-of-business initiatives.
• Prepare sourcing decisions with interface partners to incorporate know-how and safeguard security strategies.
• Provide input for quotes, workshops, scope of material and potential savings in projects.
• Assess and develop suppliers from a technological standpoint to focus on best suppliers.

Your mission will be…

• Be actively involved in the product development/manufacturing process as well as implement cost reduction measures (design to cost, target costing, standardization, key data, etc.) to achieve the target costs for materials and reduce the overall material costs by fulfilling the necessary functions. Closely align with R&D community in the BU and Procurement (Commodity Managers, Buyers);
• Include suppliers and contribute to cost-benefit analysis workshops, innovation workshops and concept competitions with key suppliers in order to concentrate on the key functions of the components/projects;
• Conduct and provide market information/analyses on international technology and price trends in order to obtain new suppliers and new technologies in the supply chain;
• Introduce and follow up given cross-functional Procurement strategies to ensure the linkage of commodity strategies and technological market trends;
• Support activities planned by the lines of business in order to harmonize and implement the technological line-of-business strategies with procurement strategies.
• Prepare sourcing decisions with interface partners in order to incorporate technological know-how and safeguard security strategies.
• Be involved in and provide corresponding support for projects in lines of business in order to provide optimum input for quotes, workshops, scope of material (BoM assessment) and realization of potential for savings in the project.
• Assess and develop suppliers from the technological standpoint (if necessary, jointly with interface partners) in order to concentrate on the best suppliers.
• Participate in workgroups and work in projects in order to stay informed and keep and others informed, and exert influence at an early stage.
