Veeva Systems in Portugal is seeking an experienced People Manager to lead the Data Operations team supporting Link, driving high-quality data delivery and close collaboration with product management.

You will mentor a team of five, shape operations with data-driven decisions, and partner with Data Eng and Data Science to scale data quality and impact in a fast-growing SaaS company.

Our vision for Linkis to become the global leader in deep data for life sciences. It helps pharma professionals to find the right people for, e.g., clinical trials, education programs, or advisory boards. This streamlined access helps to reduce the time-to-market of important drugs, conduct trials with the most relevant experts in the respective field, and spread information about new treatments to key people in the life science community. We are seeking an experienced People Manager to lead one of our Data Operations teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of data operations that support our product development. You are part of the Data Operations leadership team and responsible for a team of 5 Veevans and multiple hundred curators.

You know how to lead an engaged and high-performing team. Building a personal connection with your team and holding them accountable comes naturally to you. You are experienced in driving process improvements and skilled in data-driven decision-making. You are hands‑on. Don’t shy away from analyzing the data for your decisions yourself. Based on your understanding of the value a product adds to customers, you can shape operations and be a sparring partner to product managers.

You will represent Data Operations in a cross‑functional product team, collaborating closely with Product Management, Data Engineering, and Data Science.

Requirements

• Extensive people leadership experience (5+ years)
• Proven track record in process improvements
• Confident spreadsheet user (pivot tables, nested formulas)
• Excellent communication skills in English

Nice to Have

• Experience in life sciences (education or professional experience)
• Experience in data product businesses
• Data analysis skills (e.g., SQL, Tableau)

Compensation

• Total compensation: 40,000 - 60,000 EUR
• The total compensation range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential total compensation range for this role. Please note that actual total compensation may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position’s total compensation may be composed of other types of compensation, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
