About the Role
As a Maintenance & Facilities Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall reliability of production equipment and facility infrastructure, while developing, implementing, and optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and HSE teams, you will help drive operational excellence, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the overall reliability and performance of plant equipment and maintenance activities.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to plan, track, and analyse maintenance activities.
- Monitor, analyse, and report maintenance performance KPIs.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring failures.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of production equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and technical requirements related to facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate and support inspections, audits, testing activities, and mandatory certifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance, technical, compliance, and facility documentation.
- Monitor facility safety conditions and take immediate action when risks to people, equipment, or the environment are identified.
- Manage external service providers, including scope definition, tender evaluations, contractor selection, supervision, and quality control.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair activities carried out by external contractors.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement to ensure equipment availability while maintaining cost control.
- Support sourcing and purchasing activities for equipment, spare parts, and technical services.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing costs, increasing operational efficiency, and minimizing downtime.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and HSE teams to resolve technical issues and implement sustainable improvements.
- Support sustainability initiatives, energy efficiency projects, and resource optimization programs.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance excellence and asset management best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance, maintenance engineering, facilities management, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Advanced experience using CMMS platforms and maintenance data analysis tools.
- Experience managing contractors, service providers, and technical suppliers.
- Sound knowledge of legislation, standards, and safety requirements applicable to industrial maintenance and facilities management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and structured problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven experience conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing continuous improvement activities.
- Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
