This role is ideal for a professional with a strong passion for quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in ensuring product and process compliance while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and performance across the organization.
About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality assurance activities throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and customer expectations. You will work closely with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control, Inspection & Compliance
- Promote safe inspection practices and reinforce a Zero Harm safety culture.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure the proper use, calibration, and maintenance of quality inspection equipment.
- Ensure product traceability, documentation accuracy, and compliance with testing and validation requirements.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Perform final product inspections in accordance with applicable technical requirements.
- Execute or witness functional testing, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and performance validations.
Non-Conformance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Lead Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) investigations and ensure the implementation of effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Monitor quality performance indicators, analyse trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma projects aimed at reducing waste and improving product consistency and operational efficiency.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Problem Solving
- Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve product and process quality issues.
- Communicate quality performance metrics, customer feedback, and audit outcomes to key stakeholders.
- Support customer audits and represent site quality performance during internal and external reviews.
Documentation, Standards & Team Development
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans.
- Support, mentor, and develop members of the quality team.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality management systems, standards, and internal procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, inspection methodologies, and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Proven experience managing CAPA processes, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Six Sigma tools is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Minitab is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
- High level of accountability, attention to detail, and professional integrity.
- Commitment to safety, product compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Good command of English, with a minimum B2 level.
