PE Global Recruitment is working with a leading European data centre delivery partner, providing turnkey solutions across design, construction and commissioning. Due to continued project growth, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join the team on a large-scale data centre project in Sines, Portugal.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a major mission-critical project and play a key role in managing day-to-day logistics operations on site. The successful candidate will supervise deliveries, material handling, site movements and logistics coordination, ensuring activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with the project programme.
The role operates on a 2-week rotation pattern:
- Week 1: Monday to Saturday
- Week 2: Monday to Thursday
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday off, returning to site Monday morning
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day site logistics activities across the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate deliveries, material handling and site movements to ensure efficiency and minimal disruption.
- Monitor site access, traffic management and security in line with health & safety standards.
- Work closely with the Logistics Manager, Project Managers, subcontractors and suppliers to align logistics activities with the project programme.
- Oversee storage areas, ensuring materials are stored safely and organised effectively.
- Supervise logistics subcontractors and site personnel, including daily coordination and performance monitoring.
- Ensure all logistics documentation, permits and safety records are maintained and kept up to date.
- Attend site meetings, toolbox talks and logistics coordination meetings.
- Identify and report logistical risks, including congestion, delays and site constraints.
- Support the project team in maintaining a safe and well-organised site environment.
- Assist in preparing logistics reports and updates for the project team.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
- Report logistics issues and support their resolution in a timely manner.
Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Construction or a similar discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a logistics or site coordination role within construction or engineering.
- Experience supporting site logistics on construction projects.
- Good understanding of traffic management, material handling and site coordination practices.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced site environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Awareness of Health & Safety requirements related to site logistics.
- Previous data centre, industrial or mission-critical project experience is advantageous.
