Job summary

SWJ Portugal Engineering Solutions, based at our Lisbon site, seeks a Logistics Dispatcher – Returnable Packaging to ensure the smooth supply of container stock for automotive clients. You will work in SAP-based systems, monitor stock, review planning proposals, and coordinate four XDock sites to prevent disruptions.

The role requires a logistics qualification and 1–3 years of experience, strong data skills, and good English; German is a plus in our collaboration with a German client.

Qualifications

• A completed qualification in logistics, freight forwarding, industry or a comparable field.
• Ideally, 1–3 years' professional experience in operational logistics, scheduling, supply chain management or a comparable environment.
• Experience of working in a system-supported environment and a keen interest in working with data and digital processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the daily availability of returnable containers and incoming requirements from suppliers and plants.
• Review automatically generated planning proposals, adjust and approve them per defined processes.
• Manage operational planning of returnable containers for four XDock sites.
• Identify deviations, bottlenecks and delays early and initiate necessary actions.
• Coordinate special measures such as ad hoc deliveries or stock reallocations when needed.
• Check orders and system data for plausibility and ensure information is accurate and complete.
• Handle special and clearing cases and provide information to resolve them.
• Communicate critical situations and escalate if an independent solution is not possible.
