Job summary

Dedale, based in Lisbon, is expanding its Lisbon team and seeking exceptional talent to join at the ground floor of this new chapter. The role focuses on deep fundamental research in software and technology industries, with exposure to top mentors and international colleagues.

You will perform due diligence, financial analysis, and build models, communicating findings to the team and members. This is a long-term fit for ambitious analysts passionate about investing and tech.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 graduate with strong analytical skills
• Experience and interest in strategy, finance or corporate finance
• Excellent Excel skills and data-driven thinking
• Strong written and spoken English; French/German/Italian a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research on software and technology companies
• Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis on listed and private firms
• Leverage quantitative modelling and qualitative insights via expert interviews
• Collaborate with peers and ex-Tier 1 management consultants
• Deliver high-quality deliverables that support multi-million investments
• Communicate research findings internally and externally
• Grow in the team to take on more responsibilities
• Daily monitoring of identified companies

Your Role:

1. Conduct deep fundamental research on software & technology companies

2. Perform strategic due diligence and financial analysis on publicly listed and privately owned software & technology companies

3. Leverage both quantitative modelling and qualitative insights generation through expert interviews

4. Collaborate with a strong team of peers and experienced ex-Tier 1 management consultants contributing to the research

5. Deliver high quality and valuable deliverables that will support decision making on multi-million investments

6. Communicate your research findings internally and externally

7. Naturally grow in the team to take on more and more responsibilities and develop yourself as a strong professional

8. Daily monitoring of the already identified companies

9. Preparation of financial research and analysis, strategic screening and communication materials for our members

10. Leading interviews in English with professional experts

11. Support on process improvement and new companies screening

Your Profile:

Across the firm, we attract motivated, intellectually curious, and analytically rigorous young professionals who are passionate about learning and creating impact. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits:

• You are Tier 1 engineering/business school young graduate, specializing in Business/Finance/Corporate business/Corporate finance/Engineering/Strategy

• You have 1-2 years of relevant experience in strategy, finance, and business (with several internships in finance/tech/startup or corporate company)

• You have excellent analysis skills and excellent Excel skill

• You have a strong strategic thinking mind - you know how to look for key inputs and do smart correlations

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English is a must, and French, German, or Italian language ability is a plus.
